Luminotes : a true Wiki-Notebook
[ I know it's unusual that I write in English but for once ... ]
Luminotes seems to be a web notebook, with capabilities of wiki, which allow you to :
- create notes into a wysiwyg editor,
- create links between notes, ( simply type in the title of the target note and the system offers to insert the link)
- attach files,
- insert images,
- share notes. With the “free version” you can’t invite users to edit notes but simply to view notes.
Your notes are saved automatically and you can view the previous revisions of a note.
Luminotes has a search engine which allow you to find notes through your many notebooks and notes. Also, you can make “startup notes”. These notes show up when you login and they are organized as a tree.
One interesting thing : it’s possible to download the entire wiki as an html file.
The interface is simple and pleasant. You can use it in full screen mode (but the toolbar is disabled in this mode).
However, what remains most interesting for me is the system of links between notes. This makes Luminotes a true wiki-notebook.

Thanks for the review of Luminotes! I just wanted to let you know that the Luminotes image you linked to in this article is part of your private wiki, so no one else will be able to see it. You may want to use a different image or even upload an image directly into your Wordpress account here on nioumedia.com.
And please let me know if you have any feedback on Luminotes!

Ok Dan, it’s done.
Luminotes is very usefull but why don’t make “public notes” ?

Jerome, I’m definitely planning on adding a feature to Luminotes so that you can publish your wiki publicly, but to start with Luminotes is designed for private wikis and your own personal notes. Of course right now you can always invite individuals to collaborate on your wiki.
